As each holiday season passes it seems like we accumulate lists of things we need to do, things to purchase for loved ones, and things we wished were purchased for us. But is all this ‘stuff’ really adding to the quality of our lives, or is it merely serving as a distraction?
The true meaning of Christmas is God’s unconditional love for each and every one of us. His love is not covered in material things, and shines the brightest when we experience a true joy in life – contentment.
It’s easy to compare ourselves to others and become jealous or envious of the things we believe we don’t have. The trick is to look internally and be thankful, appreciative, and truly happy with everything that is already in our lives and know that it is enough.
This holiday season choose to be content with your life, your family, and your possessions. Much like happiness, this is a choice we all get to make.
Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have – Unknown
Merry Christmas from your friends at McHardy Vacuum
